Toronto Blue Jays Hire Another Training Camp Attendee

Trevour MackenziePORTLAND, OREGON — Game Face Sports Career Training Camp attendee Trevour Mackenzie has been placed in a full-time, consumer sales representative position with the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball. Mackenzie joins six other Game Face placements on staff with the Blue Jays.

“Our experience with Game Face candidates has been fantastic,” said John Santana, Consumer Sales Manager for the Blue Jays. “They are prepared, bring excellent sales knowledge and a great work ethic. They adapt quickly to our sales environment, developing their skills and preparing themselves for growth within our team. There is no doubt in my mind that Trevour will continue this trend.”

Mackenzie finished an honours bachelor of sport and physical education degree from Laurentian University and a bachelor of education degree from Nipissing University, both located in Ontario. Prior to attending the Training Camp, he worked as a teacher, athletic director, and coach for Stayner Collegiate Institute.

He determined that shifting gears from education to the world of professional sports would require additional training and assistance. Game Face presented the most effective avenue for him to make that transition. Mackenzie said, “The training I received from Game Face instilled within me the confidence I needed to be successful in a career change of this magnitude. It’s so refreshing to look forward to driving to work every morning, and working at the Rogers Centre has been incredible! My first few weeks quickly re-affirmed the value of what I gained at the Training Camp.”
