Successful Sports Job Seeker Jordan FriedmanPORTLAND, OREGON — Game Face Sports Career Training Camp attendee Jordan Friedman has been placed into an inside sales position with the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball, host of the 2007 All-Star Game. He will promote, market, and sell season and group tickets during the 2007 campaign.

Jeff Tucker, Director of Sales for the Giants, visited the Training Camp to interview candidates as part of the process of putting together a new department. “Our entire sales team has trained with Game Face, and we realize that by hiring one of their candidates we get someone who understands the fundamentals of the job and is ready to contribute,” said Tucker. “We were looking for someone who would have instant impact with our staff and we found our man with Jordan.”

Friedman received his BA in communications from Michigan State University in 2006. Prior to graduation, he interned with the Oakland Raiders in public relations and community affairs. After completing his degree he worked as a community relations intern for the Los Angeles Clippers.

While interning with the Raiders, he attended a career fair at the Staples Center where he learned about the training and placement services provided by Game Face’s Sports Career Training Camp. “I needed to expedite the process of really beginning my sports career and the Training Camp offered an opportunity to refine my skills and develop new ones,” said Friedman. “Landing this position with the Giants is a significant step forward in my career and the decision to attend the Training Camp is one of the best I’ve ever made.”
