Erica Sellers, Erin Cadenhead, and Kirsten MelanderPORTLAND, OREGON — Game Face Sports Career Training Camp Erin Cadenhead, Kirsten Melander, and Erica Sellers have been placed into full-time, inside sales positions with FC Dallas of Major League Soccer. They will promote, market, and sell season tickets and group packages for the team in and around the Dallas/Forth Worth Metroplex.

Andy Smith, Vice President of Ticket Sales, commented on the recent hires. “I’m a huge advocate of the Sports Career Training Camp, hiring thirteen candidates over the past three years with two different organizations,” he said. “I’ve experienced first hand that Game Face graduates arrive having the skills to succeed in this business, which makes their transition seamless and their success imminent!”

Originally from New Jersey, Melander attended school at Virginia Tech University and completed a degree in hospitality and tourism management. During the summer before her senior year she attended a sports career fair at Madison Square Garden and decided to pursue a career in sports. “I can’t express how much I benefited from what I learned at the Training Camp,” she said. “It’s a great avenue for breaking in to the competitive business landscape of sports and their network of contacts gave me the chance to choose the right opportunity for my career.”

Cadenhead’s hometown is in nearby Denton, TX and she received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Louisiana State University in May 2007. “Though the Training Camp experience was intense and packed with a lot of great information, the atmosphere was energetic and fun and I formed lasting relationships with amazing people from all over the country,” she said. “I’m so excited to be working next to Kirsten and Erica, and I can’t imagine a better situation or a better job for me.”

Sellers grew up in Michigan but chose a warmer climate for school. She finished with a degree in marketing from Arizona State University and worked for a magazine in advertising sales her senior year. “This training helped me get ahead of the competition, and it was the perfect opportunity for me to learn and develop skills that will help me be successful. I’m so excited for the opportunity to prove myself in the industry.”
