PORTLAND, OREGON —Seven Game Face Training Camp attendees have been hired by teams in the ECHL in recent weeks; three with the Las Vegas Wranglers, and two with both the South Carolina Stingrays and Utah Grizzlies. Each of these new hires has been given the responsibility to sell, market, and promote minor league hockey.
The Las Vegas Wranglers, affiliate of the Calgary Flames, hired Anthony Marshall, Michael Cahill, and Nick Cappola. Marshall graduated in kinesiology from the University of Maryland, while Cahill and Cappola both completed sports management degrees from Marshall University and Minnesota State University respectively. These three join two Game Face candidates that have been with the Wranglers since 2004.
The Utah Grizzlies, affiliate of the New York Islanders, added Jackson Babcock and Aaron Bouyea to their front office. Babcock played baseball for the Central Christian College of Kansas and graduated in mass communications, and Bouyea also played baseball while majoring in sports management from Thomas College in Maine. They join two Training Camp attendees hired in 2007.
The South Carolina Stingrays, affiliate of the Washington Capitals, brought T.J. Stephens and Matt Glassley on board to grow their client base in the greater Charleston area. Stephens played football for two years at the University of Georgia, and finished two degrees in housing and consumer economics. Glassley spent three years at Indiana University and then completed his degree in marketing from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne.
