PORTLAND, OREGON — Game Face Sports Career Training Camp attendee Carrie Jo Henderson has been placed into a corporate account executive position with Dover Motorsports, Inc. at the Gateway International Raceway located just outside St. Louis, Missouri. She joins two other Game Face candidates in selling, marketing, and promoting group tickets and hospitality options for Gateway’s events that include the NASCAR Busch and Craftsman Truck Series and the O’Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals.
Henderson graduated in May 2007 with a degree in marketing from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. After graduation, she moved back home to St. Louis to be near her family. Gateway is located less than twenty minutes from her home and she started working at the track less than one week after completing the Training Camp.
“Breaking in to the sports industry is challenging, but the results I obtained by attending the Sports Career Training Camp could not be more perfect,” said Henderson. “Besides gaining superior training that will help me succeed, I was able to find a full-time position right away. And even though I wasn’t very familiar with motorsports before the Training Camp, I am now and couldn’t be happier about my job.”
