Job Description:
We are recruiting a Director of Corporate Sales for our major-league client in the southern US. The right candidate will act as the senior-level seller in the department focusing on fully intergrated, multi-faceted partnerships. Generate leads and close advertising and sponsorship agreements for the club.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies sponsorship leads and prepares and presents proposals
- Work with the Corporate Services Department to ensure clients’ sponsorship
elements are implemented and value delivered
- Researches and writes business action plans to support new business directives
- Prepares weekly sales reports
- Liaises with other departments on sponsored programs – departments to include
game presentation, community relations, ticketing, suites, and others as
necessary
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of sponsorship or related sales
experience
- Strong existing client relationships are a plus
- Excellent people skills, and an ability to interact effectively and in a professional,
diplomatic, and mature manner with VIP’s as well as internal and external clients
at all levels are a must
- High level of initiative and inner drive
- Candidate must have problem solving skills as well as excellent communication
and presentation skills
- The ability to generate new and creative sales ideas is needed
- Candidates must be able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a highpressure
environment
- Computer literacy is required
- The selected candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
as required
