Job Description:
This major league property on the west coast is seeking a highly motivated leader to oversee the inside sales team. The successful individual will manage the day-to-day operations of the inside sales team which will be responsible for selling and marketing season ticket (and equivalents) & group ticket plans.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hire, train, motivate and manage telemarketing staff (6-10 reps) to achieve and exceed weekly, monthly and annual goals set by the Director
- Assist in establishing inside sales team goals
- Oversee training of inside sales team
- Monitor call volume and individual progress of each inside sales team representative
- Continue to sell at a high pace while also managing; expected breakdown is 50% managing and 50% selling
- Meet regularly with Director and Executive Leadership team regarding inside sales team progress
- Create and maintain daily, weekly and monthly sales tracking for management
- Implement and execute a sales plan to reach team and department goals
- Maintain a constant high level of professionalism and follow up with all potential clients
- Work in conjunction with the Premium Sales Team and Ticket Sales Team to create/develop/maintain lead lists for future sales and marketing campaigns
- Other duties assigned by the Director
Qualifications:
- Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism, and a passion for the sports industry
- Strong oral communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example; management experience a plus
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings
- Strong sales experience, professional phone sales technique and skill set
- Demonstrated ability to manage a staff, work independently and produce results
- Strong knowledge of computer programs; must be proficient in Excel and database applications, as well as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Archtics
- Strong time management and organizational skills; must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, appointments and sales
- Ability to handle multiple ticket sales projects
