Job Description: "Big Four" franchise in the Northwest seeks a seasoned sales manager with a history of significant quantifiable revenue generation in the sponsorship industry and preferably Sports sponsorship. High level of solution based marketing expertise with emphasis on consultative, collaborative result driven relationships with CMO's, marketing directors, sports agencies and senior account planners within the traditional ad agency community.
Responsible and accountable to the Director of Corporate Sales and Service to meet and exceed significant revenue goals through the successful acquisition of Corporate Sponsorships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospecting companies, organizations, associations and current sponsors to establish dialogue in the uncovering of prospects' needs that can be served through marketing partnerships
- Achievement of annual revenue goal
- Develop and present solution based proposals/offerings
- Demonstrates superior presentation skills. Easily presents in front of a group as well as in a more personal setting
- Develop credible and long lasting relationships with sponsors through consultative selling
- Communicate on a consistent basis with Director of Sales, Corporate Sales and Service
- Communicates well across all areas of the company including the service department, game operations, legal services, accounting, marketing and tickets
- Works closely with service manager to ensure that clients receive superior service and complete fulfillment of every contract detail
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent training and experience
- Minimum of five years in sales with a preferred emphasis on sports marketing, advertising or events
- Understanding of advanced business marketing and advertising principles
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings
- Demonstrates an ability to work independently and to self motivate
- Handles multiple projects well
- Works as a part of the team for the greater good of the organization
- Demonstrates flexibility and creative problem solving skills
- Possesses strong professional phone skills
- Possesses negotiation skills with the ability to under promise with the purpose of over delivery of sponsorship assets
- Ability to develop outstanding internal and external business relationships
- Understands and provides superior customer service
