Job Description: East coast Major League Baseball club is seeking a motivated individual to be responsible for generating revenue through the solicitation and sale of group tickets and group events to new and existing accounts.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Handle a high volume of incoming group sales calls
- Serve as part of a Group Sales team dedicated to maximizing sales efforts
- Solicit group sales through a progressive call campaign
- Meet or exceed specified sales goals
- Research and actively prospect new sales leads
- Provide superior customer service to customers and prospects
- Represent the Club at promotional and team events, developing new prospects and referral opportunities, both during games and outside normal business hours
- Target new customers with existing offers
- Perform assigned event responsibilities
- Complete a detailed daily activity log and submit weekly
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year group sales experience, with proven sales record, preferred
- Excellent sales and marketing skills
- Strong telephone, written, and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills, with math proficiency
- Flexibility to work event hours plus some weekends and evenings
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Archtics and Classic TicketMaster experience a plus
- Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude
